Clyburn's king-making endorsement was conditional

I saw Clyburn on CNN this morning. He was asked some tough questions and he finally admitted that Biden had not been running a great campaign and that his endorsement came with the condition that Biden take the campaigning more seriously. Raise more money, give better speeches, do better at debates, build campaign infrastructure, etc.

Clyburn’s point is that our Democracy is at stake. There was discussion of Joe’s reluctance to get in the race and the point was that Clyburn felt America needs Joe and that he must answer the call.

I can get behind that. I just wish Biden wanted it more. It does not seem fair to the other candidates who have worked much much harder.

I hope Biden works as hard as the other candidates would have in the General election.

primary today, I would vote for:

with so little money. He has made some extraordinary campaign ads, but few people saw them, because he didn't have the money to air them on television.

Now that he has the momentum from Super Tuesday and so many Democrats behind him, his campaign should be much more polished and effective.

What are you saying, he's lazy? That he doesn't want it? WTF? He's been running for many months, giving speeches, traveling. This is one of the most exciting campaigns in 150 years - grass roots groundswell, democracy in action, candidate of the people.

Bernie's worker harder? At what, complaining? Or whining?

Go have a steak.

Sanders. Now that could change but it probably won't. You hav to win a primary to be able to go on to a general. I don't think anyone worked harder than Warren and Klobachar so hard work is not always rewarded. I do think Biden has worked very hard in difficult circumstances. It looks like Biden will do this...and I am not afraid. I love Biden. Bloomberg would have been my fear vote...I don't really like Bloomberg for president but he has done some very good things for our party of late.

So the wins came easy for him and that's "unfair'?

Boo hoo. Tell that to the voters who waited in line for hours to cast their votes for him.

You're not a fan of Biden, that's obvious. But this smells of sour grapes.

have you considered how hard it is to run a campaign with little money? Bloomberg got donors to stand down and not send Joe money...Joe was amazing! And Biden has has presidential fever since 1987...it only ends with death...there is no cure for presidential fever. Trust me Biden wants it.

You either get it from the masses, from wealthy donors or from both.

Biden didn't raise enough money to run a good campaign.

I hope that changes moving forward. Money isn't the main thing that makes a candidate successful... but it *is* necessary to run a competitive campaign. And he will need it in the general election.
