There just aren't enough of us...

Very well educated, but not interested in big lawns. Cambridge, Somerville, Arlington, Belmont and Watertown all voted for Warren by mostly healthy margins. These towns are or border on Cambridge, home of MIT and Harvard. Too close to Boston to offer much super great housing, although Romney lived in Belmont.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

It's a different country out here. There are a lot of trump supporters, and is generally less flaming liberal than the cambridge area (I went to tufts so I know it pretty well).

There is a LOT of nimby politics here. Warren is popular, but people are pragmatic. Fwiw, 2 of the 5 in my house voted for her. I like her but voted for joe. The other 2 voted for bernie, despite my best efforts.

Along with those of a lot of others. Just because the end goal isn't reached, doesn't mean that the journey is futile. Every step forward is a good thing.

but I want to beat trump. I believe that Biden will run with a strong progressive Dem woman. We have never had a woman VP. We are still backward when it comes to women leaders. I like Warren, but she just didn't have the votes. Go Joe!

But that's not exactly a winning campaign slogan is it?

Everyone loves their 401Ks, A/C and broadband infotainment, prominent greens have prominent carbon footprints.

The lawn, and the flush toilet. That's our society. Just push the button and your shit becomes someone else's problem.

and MIT is very much a conservative Republican. Not everyone there would back Warren.

But I agree that liberal academia in general would support her.

Massachusetts on the whole is not as liberal as we get credited. There are big swaths of red in the middle and towards the cape.
