Why is Bernie muddying the issue of who is ahead in delegates?

Just heard him on NPR saying "Biden may be ahead, I may be ahead, but we are neck and neck going ahead,"

Actually Biden is ahead 513 t0 481, according to NBC. Yes that may be "neck and neck" but clearly Biden has the momentum after yesterday by winning 10 of 14 primaries and also winning by double digit margins in a number of key states, including Virginia and North Carolina. And of course the big win in South Carolina on Saturday. Bernie would be better off admitting that he is now the underdog. The happy talk is a bit Trumpian, I must say.

He's trying to control the narrative. I don't think it's going to work with ST, however.

Looks like Bernie will be slightly ahead of Biden.

Doesn’t really matter though. Tuesday was a disaster for Bernie. Some pre ST projections had him ahead by hundreds of delegates after ST. That’s not going to happen. Not even close. The upcoming states are less friendly to him as well. I suspect if Biden is behind after the CA delegates are awarded Bernie’s lead will be quickly erased and eclipsed.

It is manipulatively dishonest. A person that cannot accept loss. It does not bold well for ahead, just like it didn't in the past.
