Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumWarren is exactly where a candidate would want to be right now in the polls although it's very early
The candidates spoke yesterday at a union gathering and they all got polite applause but when Elizabeth got done speaking about her 10-point plan she got a rousing standing ovation according to media reports. Like I said in a earlier post last month, the more she speaks to the American people the higher her poll numbers will rise.

(8,652 posts)...In an Emmerson college poll of Massachusetts voters conducted between April 4th and 7th, Warren is running third, behind Sanders and Biden. Please note that this is the only state or national poll that Biden is behind anyone. The point, however, is that Warren is garnering just 14 points and running behind both her chief rivals in Massachusetts, where the voters, especially Democratic, know her best.

(58,785 posts)Bookers impassioned remarks, covering everything from trade policy, to his college football days at Stanford drew plaudits. Being from the Northeast, I enjoyed hearing Cory Booker," said Michael Halpin, a national coordinator with the Elevator Industry Work Preservation Fund. "But all of them were very impressive. Its really, really early in the game."
Attendees said they were looking for candidates to specifically focus on prevailing wages, proactive labor agreements, protecting the right to organize, and anything that could advance union density across the country. ...
Other 2020 Democrats who spoke at the conference include: Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, California Sen. Kamala Harris, Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan and California Eric Swalwell.
Predominantly white men, many of whom voted Republican and apparently wouldn't ashamed to do it again. Standing ovations from a rather tough crowd. Wish I'd been there.
