Vice President Pick

I read so many posts that suggest that the Democratic candidate should pick a woman or an African American or whatever.

Please don't use such characteristics as criteria!

We are in serious times. When, hopefully, our new Democratic President begins to try to right the damage that has been done during the DT Administration, he/she will need all the help possible.

Please pick the VP with the most brains, integrity, experience you can get. Don't worry about the optics

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

I've posted elsewhere; the VP pick will be what makes many decide their vote. It MUST be someone who is ready day one to take the office of the presidency. I believe the choice of Palin is a big factor in McCains loss. NOBODY could imagine her taking over

There are many women of color who are just as qualified as white males. There are plenty to choose from so staying with the status quo isn’t necessary.

DU votes arent what will win this election. It will be the votes of lots of people who rarely pay much attention to politics. So it needs to be a name they know, whether WE like it or not. Sen Harris is a name that most people know. Stacy Abrams is not. Both could do the job, but one will get the recognition over the other. The only reason trump won was because of his celebrity. Its sad that it matters, but thats where we are in the 21st century

There have been a number of reports that trump will throw pence under the bus and replace him on the repug ticket with nikki haley. This would be an obvious attempt to attract women voters.

So to counter this, I would like to see a woman vp candidate on the democratic ticket.
