If he wants to stay in a couple more weeks, then I am ok with that. Maybe a debate changes things up. But I don’t see him staying in until the convention again. Things do look very bleak.

I really wanted Bernie. I think he could have beaten Trump by changing up socialism to mean Trump is for corporate socialism and socialism for the rich. He could have exposed his lies to the working class, middle class, and poor. His change is sorely needed in my opinion. No big change started without a fight.

I feel we will get a more progressive nominee soon. I hope Bernie and Elizabeth are around to see it.

But in the moment we have to beat Trump. I will encourage my fellow Bernie people to vote for Biden. It looks like he is our chance to get Trump out.

This will allow Democrats to come together.
It allows the Biden campaign to start building it's war chest rather than spending more on the primary
And it allows the Democrats to collectively start banging away on Trump.

Bernie thinks he's the only progressive and his policies unique. The last party platform has most of what he wanted in it, but I think he'll stay in until he can get the 2020 platform to be just like his stump speech, including notes designating where a finger should wag, arms flail, and which parts to read loudly and angrily. He will then have done his part to save America from the enemy, the Democratic establishment. After the convention he'll disappear to write another book, a pop-up book for juicebox revolutionaries.

NOT send him a big cyber hug & thank him for his hard fought campaign . Bernie has always said its not about him, its about fighting for the people of this country & doing what is right by them. I don't know if he's truly planning this but it wouldn't surprise me if he sees that the math just isn't working out for him. I think I caught tonight that he switched some campaign stops that were kind of surprising so who knows.

It's clear to anyone who knows politics that Bernie staying in til the end against Hillary hurt us deeply in the general election. There's no doubt in my mind we would have won if he had dropped out when it was clear he would lose. The question is whether he is willing to be responsible for another 4 years of damage under Trump.

People withdraw from races prior to the end of voting every election cycle. Biden is forecast to win every state on 3/17 and 3/24 and all but two of three states the entire rest of the campaign.

The race is over. Sanders will likely withdraw tomorrow. Demanding a debate in that context makes no sense.
