Why is Twitter thanking Bernie for personally saving unemployment?

I see all kinds of gushing over him doing some heroic thing that saved the unemployment payout but cannot for the life of me find the thing.

Help anyone?

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Thu Mar 26, 2020, 10:54 AM

i seriously doubt sanders was the only senator who pushed back, but he got some headlines for it:

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/25/bernie-sanders-4-gop-senators-threaten-to-hold-up-coronavirus-stimulus-bill.html

KEY POINTS
The prospect of a planned Senate vote on a $2 trillion stimulus package in response to the coronavirus pandemic dimmed Wednesday as senators threatened to hold up the legislation.
First, four GOP senators said they could delay the bill over a core unemployment insurance provision.
Then, Sen. Bernie Sanders said he would delay the bill if his Republican colleagues did not drop their opposition.

He's regularly tops at stuff such as like, retweet, and trend. That's important to his followers. They think it means they're winning.

Nope:

The Democratic Electorate on Twitter Is Not the Actual Democratic Electorate

'Perhaps the most telling poll of the Democratic primary season hasn’t been about the Democratic primary at all — but about the fallout from a 35-year-old racist photo on a yearbook page. Gov. Ralph Northam of Virginia was pummeled on social media after the revelation, and virtually every Democratic presidential candidate demanded his resignation.

Yet the majority of ordinary Democrats in Virginia said Mr. Northam should remain in office, according to a Washington Post/Schar School poll a week later. And black Democrats were likelier than white ones to say Mr. Northam should remain.

Today’s Democratic Party is increasingly perceived as dominated by its “woke” left wing. But the views of Democrats on social media often bear little resemblance to those of the wider Democratic electorate.

The outspoken group of Democratic-leaning voters on social media is outnumbered, roughly 2 to 1, by the more moderate, more diverse and less educated group of Democrats who typically don’t post political content online, according to data from the Hidden Tribes Project. This latter group has the numbers to decide the Democratic presidential nomination in favor of a relatively moderate establishment favorite, as it has often done in the past.'

their part. Not 1 person. It kind of pisses me, especially after our idiot president claimed that 'I alone' can blah blah blah.

Like the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child, the same here, 50 states/territories, all united together, working for a common cause. ALL of us. Of course I wonder about some of the republicans, they seem to be more worried about their 1%ers and businesses than the rest of us, but what they don't realize, is that if the rest of us are NOT buying stuff or working, then the 1%ers and businesses are up crap creek.
