My favorite part about the Democratic Party presidential primary season.
Our candidates are out there representing the brand. Right now, for the most part, they are promoting policies that are to the left of what we have seen in recent history. I place a lot of that on Clinton’s and the parties platform in 2016. The party has made clear that it’s a big tent and the only way to combat oppression and economic servitude is by charging to the left.
We are getting back to what once was the national discussion among Democrats. I’m talking among a majority of the candidates. Not just one here or there. Trump hasn’t taken my hope. This push is going to continue to move society in the direction we want. We have a lot to look forward to over the next couple of decades. We pay attention to the details and the battle. Most people are just hearing the general ideas. That’s a really good thing. It’s a good day to be a Democrat.

4. I don't agree with that.
He had influence but his position was behind party leaders. I don’t dismiss his role but Clinton had an excellent platform while Sanders was entering the race as a little known career politician. One cannot ignore that sequence of events though some seem to purposefully forget it.

6. I don't see them as having taken up his platform.
We have some solid progressives running, including one who most Sanders supporters wished had run last time instead of Sanders.
Also, you seem to have omitted that another progressive candidate had millions more supporters. Last time around Clinton was further to the left on numerous social issues than Sanders. She also highlighted dark money which at the time seemed to confuse Sanders. Jim Webb, though short lived, outflanked Sanders to the left on criminal justice reform in a major way. Not everything is about Sanders and any revisionist history will be met with facts. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |
