Please don't believe 'xx% of so-and-so's supporters will vote...' this far out...

That's not to say they can't prove correct, as we saw a small, but significant amount of Sanders supporters in 2016 either supported Trump or voted third party. But they're pointless at this stage and solely done for sensationalist headlines.

Case in point:

Exit polls: Half of Clinton's supporters won't back Obama

If McCain vs. Obama, 28% of Clinton Backers Go for McCain

28% of Clinton supporters on March 26th, 2008 (twelve years ago this week) said they would support McCain over Obama.

It's the nature of the game. I don't buy 15% of Sanders supporters will support Trump. Just as I didn't buy 28% of Clinton supporters would vote McCain in 2008.

There will be some, yes, but once this race is decided, and things start slowing down, I fully believe we'll be more united as a party than we were four years ago.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

safest from real criticism when they pontificate over the future as seen in the their crystal balls.

Which are not exactly crystal clear.

People in the heat of a primary will say stupid things, like they’re going to vote Republican. I don’t believe most will, in the end.

Bernie Sanders has on multiple occasions. Hillary Clinton did not have a cult following. Bernie Sanders has ...

I don't trust polls this far out either, I trust facts.

What matters is circling the wagons when the time draws near.

It is incumbent on those with social, cultural, economic, and political influence to lend their voice in herding the masses. If mobilization fails, then it is a collective failure and we will get the government that we deserve.

First off, Bernie has a relatively small amount of extremist supporters who would actually vote for Trump.

Secondly, most progressives don't live in purple swing states...most of 'em are clustered in various states and regions that are heavily Democratic so even if most of his anarchist types did defect they almost certainly wouldn't impact the outcome of those specific blue states.

You can probably count on one hand how many of those types reside in places like AZ, PA, MI, OH, NC and FL. Independents in those states will decide this election...not immature idiots who would vote for Hitler just because Democrats wouldn't back their Stalin.
