I can't decide. Help me

I see several strong contenders. There are many other candidates I'd be happy to see nominated, cut can't support because I think they'd be divisive to the party. There's maybe a couple I'd really be unhappy to support in the general election (but I'd do it anyway).

I'd really love to hear arguments about why I should support...

Cory Booker

Kamala Harris

Beto O'Roarke

Elizabeth Warren

or any other candidate.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

My liberalism isn't tribal. Things don't become wrong because Trump did them (even tho Trump often does things because they are wrong). That seems like the mistakes the Republicans did with the Clinton and Obama presidencies, knee-jerk obstructionism. They put party ahead of country. That's not what leadership looks like.

As for the North Korea talks, I'm perfectly aware that there's virtually no progress being made (and some inconvenience being imposed on our allies) because Trump's talking to Kim. But with a loon like that in charge, there's actually some benefit to keeping any talks going on.

Keep your eyes open and read about the ones you like the most. See if what they say resonates with you.

Right now we still have the luxury of lots of time. Use this to your satisfaction!

I have sent some money to two candidates that I like enough to support them, but I am not married to them. I have one I don't think I could support but will hold my nose if I have to in order to keep 45 out of the white house in 2020. This is the first time in a LONG time I have been undecided about my choice. I think it has to do with how many great candidates are in the hunt right now.

I'm reading Kamala Harris' book right now. As others release books, I will be reading them

I have only eliminated Tulsi Gabbard. I'm waiting for the debates to make a decision.

The name at the bottom of some of our posts? That’s just the candidate we like the most right now. It doesn’t mean we’ll vote for that candidate. All intelligent voters are going to keep doing their homework. I may have several different candidates listed in my posts by the time I actually vote.

10. Consider a Harris/Brown ticket. Lots of strengths there.

Harris is a no nonsense former prosecutor. She'll cut donnie to the bone. Sherrod brings his very strong labor union support. Remember that were it not for the Electoral College, Hillary would have won in 2016. Which brings me to the EC itself. I think the Dem party learned from 2016: we gotta fight hard in the states where HRC took the popular vote and lost the EC vote. I think Harris is all too aware of that problem and is planning her strategy accordingly.

Anyway, that's my spiel and I hope it helps!

websites (hopefully more and more policy info will be on websites). Listen/read their interviews. Give money to those who you want to be on the debate stage if you think they are in danger of not being there.

I don't know when your primary is . . . but you really don't have to make any decision until you are in the voting booth. Why not have an open mind about as many of them who's policies you support and who's integrity you trust?

Take some time to research each candidate. Go to their websites, look at their voting record and listen to them speak. We have a lot of good candidates right now and some others will soon enter the race. The primary vote is not for at least a year.

so unless they change the forum/board rules anytime soon, you don't need to choose yet.

I presume you plan to support, or at least vote for, the Dems final nominee, but at this stage of the game, you're safe just reading the commentary and gathering what info you need to make your choice. That doesn't mean you can't comment. Hardly. I often find that making comments can actually clarify my opinions, and frankly can lead to changing them if I look back at what I typed and feel foolish about it. Hey, it happens.

I won't try to sell you on anyone, because ultimately it is your decision & if you inform yourself - truly inform yourself and not listen to other ppl - you will make the choice that best for you and your conscience..

And you should think for yourself. But, I recommend a candidate who will prioritize Healthcare, the Environment, and financial regulations. Healthcare, so nobody has to die from being unable to afford life-saving medicine and/or a medical procedure. We also need to mitigate, if not slightly reverse Climate Change, and block Offshore oil drilling. I oppose fracking and oil pipelines, especially near the drinking water of high population areas and states. I also support the reinstatement of Glass-Steagall, to prevent another recession.

My favorite candidates are Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.
