Fire in the belly: Biden at the Stop and Shop picket

Doesn’t sound like Joe has lost his mojo after a three year break from public life.

EDIT: WFCW Local 328 - Stop & Shop’s parent company, Ahold Delhaize has authorized over $1 billion in stock buy backs for its shareholders (and now wants to screw the workers to help fund it)

Joe still has juice, passion and energy. And people respond in kind.

Next week should be a very good week!

He's starting late and fundraising has never been Uncle Joe's strong suit. He hates it. The last time he did it he refused PAC money and relied predominantly on large checks from individual donors. Since then, the internet has meant huge changes and made other means, including relying principally on small donors, doable.

Plus, a lot of organizations, including most unions, will be holding off endorsements for a long time while the field winnows down. So the trick is going to be staying out ahead of 18 solid Democratic competitors as that happens.

the day of the kick-off. I agree that fund-raising has never been Joe Biden's sweet spot. The fact that he's hired a number of Obama advisors may correct that or at least put the campaign on the right money track. And yes, Biden has challenges just like the rest of the field. I'm eager to see what happens after Wednesday.

Should get very interesting.
