I don't think it worked but I'm glad you liked the video. I agree with you about the alert on this thread. I would feel the same way if someone alerted on the Amy cartoon that was posted here. Political cartoons are fair game in my opinion.

yet you feel the need to belittle her.

I have pointed here several times the similarity between Trump and Sanders in 2016: both appealed to the "forgotten" in rural America who felt left by the "elite." And when Sanders did not win the nomination, many of his supporters -now confirmed at 12% - voted for the next best thing.

https://www.democraticunderground.com/128775104

Now, it appears that, both Trump, and, at least Sanders' supporters, suffer from lack of self esteem, feel the need to respond to whatever they see a slight.

Oh, and Senator Klobuchar is a Democrat, always has been a Democrat.

End of discussion from my side.

37. The real point
Sun Apr 21, 2019, 12:22 PM
Apr 2019

Is if I had created an OP with the cartoon of Amy, it would have caused wrath and a hide.

People would have said things like "eating our own", "don't give the Republicans fodder", "post something positive about YOUR candidate" "paid Bots signing up just to cause divisiveness" etc.

But it doesn't.

Not here.

Maybe Skinner knows there needs a bit of tension to create lots of posts?

Just remember folks, Bernie is not in the one percent like Amy or Jay--who I would vote for in a heartbeat. I HAVE voted for in other elections.

But I get your basic message. There is a thin line between vetting and attacking. People need to remain aware of that line because if that doesn't happen, there are going to be deep riff between people that share political views heading into the Fall of 2020, and that is good for no one but Trump.

I must admit that I am not a Bernie supporter by any stretch, but if Bernie wins the party nomination, the only way that I won't vote for Bernie in the General is for me to be dead before General Election voting starts in my state.

since logging back onto this site.

I am remembering that at one point last election, I was so triggered by this site I thought about voting for Stein. I could have since WA is deep blue.

But I did not.

I just try to remember that new voters are not coming here so they will not read this divide here. I come to this conclusion because what I have seen is all the new members seem predominently for the other old guy and that doesn't jibe with what I think the young ones are looking for.

To be fair, the 1%-ers have a LOT more money than $1M or $2M net worth. They have MANY millions and into the billions.

Many middle class people have a net worth of $2M: a retirement account, a taxable account, a savings account, a paid-off middle class home, two paid-off middle cars, no debt = a high net worth. But they are middle class. Their retirement account + Social Security has to last for the rest of their lives.
