And it’s a very powerful agency, indeed.

The fact that president Nazi-stank didn’t recognize this and exploit it is fortuitous.

And the law that created it will not be repealed with dems leading the house.

It makes be beyond angry knowing how many people are getting fucked over by payday lenders and the like.

But posting here at least allows that to be pointed out. My question, why hasn't he been standing with them?

What goes on in his head that, with even the biggest, most important shared issues, he must always present himself as the only person of principle in the Democratic senate and house caucuses combined? I pay him the respect of accepting that he believes this, strange of him as it is, but it's bad for our nation.

Yes, he's a moderate liberal, not a radical business-hater. He believes in both strong regulation, semi-socialization, and working with business to create a prosperous nation. The proven formula of the New Deal era, which he was fortunate to be part of before the nation swung conservative.

But, UJ, I so don't understand your problem. Both our new conservative kleptocrat class and Russia must keep the Democratic Party out of power and the Republican in. It's an existential-level issue for both.

If mainstream Democrats are so damned corrupt,...WHY?

Maybe try to understand what this means also:

"We can have democracy in this country, or we can have great wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can't have both." Nancy Pelosi, quoting Louis Brandeis at her swearing in.

Sanders has never taken a stronger position. We must destroy the new ultrawealthy classes.

This has happened for years, there have been multiple articles/videos/stories about it.

This isn’t a ding at Bernie but I’m not sure why everyone seems to give a shit about this now. It’s a bit late.

Yes he’s spoken out about the economy for years.

Just frustrated people are only discussing this now, Eddie Lampert was made CEO in 2013 and has been destroying Sears ever since. His distraction of the brand has been relatively publicly.

Failing to come up with a way to compete with Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc was his real downfall. Stripping the carcass while it is near death as he has tried to do is what financial jackals do. The jobs are lost nevertheless.
