It doesnt matter where she works. She asked a question and she doesnt deserve to be harassed and stalked because she did. I legitimately can not believe people are defending this!

(10 posts)because not only are they grotesque, who cares. She is a legitimate citizen who will be voting. If thats what she wanted to ask, she had every right. And Bernie handled as best he could. I think it's a great idea to make sure all of their volunteers and campaign workers are trained on the issue and to have 3rd party outlets to report to if it happens. That's actually a great thing! It's an unfortunate issue with many campaigns and should be controlled more closely. I won't name names but it has happened in recent times to other camps.
Edit: I forgot to mention the first reason why I decided to write a response to this. We have to be careful about who we are interacting with because I've seen many reports now that there are active bots out there in the social media sphere working to divide democrats. We seen a big reference to this today when Jacob Wohl got kicked off the tweeter. He was banned for life for creating fake accounts for that exact reason. Just keep that in mind.

(401 posts)What kind of people do this? It is shameful and drags Bernie down into the gutter.
All Bernie supporters I know are polite and decent people who would never do such a thing but I can't deny that there is a subset that is involved in untoward activities like these.
Bernie should come out and apologize to that poor woman. A few more incidents like these and his candidacy would be sunk by people who want him elected.

(401 posts)This is not good and it really happened. I hope Bernie condemns this behavior or his campaign will be over in 2 states.
I support Bernie because I believe he is a man of high ideals and this is the time for him to shine by showing those high ideals. The small subset of his rowdy supporters should be reined in. It reflects poorly on the vast majority of his supporters who are decent.

(64,458 posts)Nobody can completely control how others behave, and we know there are bots, trolls, agents provocateurs, and bad actors everywhere.
Bernie can and must show leadership by setting clear examples for how his campaign will conduct itself. What are the core values of his campaign, now that he's declared that he's running for president?

(401 posts)I think Bernie's popularity and acceptance will increase if he condemns the bad actors and tells them to stop these shenanigans.
I want Bernie to win and this will go a long way.

(96,650 posts)campaign probably should make him aware of what happened, and it would be nice if he expressed regrets that some people, who none of us have any idea who they are, would engage in those activities.
but I do not think he has anything to apologize for on this.
Unfortunately, those involved in this can hurt a candidate, and while some no doubt are Sanders supporters, some no doubt are trolls also.
There is an effort by certain elements to divide Democrats, we all need to be vigilant
