International Association of Firefighters endorses Joe Biden for president

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/joe-biden-2020-international-association-of-firefighters-endorses-biden-for-president/

Former Vice President Joe Biden now has the backing of one of the largest trade unions in the country after the International Association of Firefighters said they support his presidency. A nearly 3-minute long video features highlights from Biden's addresses to the group over the years, touting his outreach to working, middle class Americans as being the "centerpiece of everything I have done."

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

The IAFF refused to endorse either Clinton or Trump in 2016 - so, this is a big deal. Drunken Irishman Apr 2019 #1

He can make inroads with those who feel left out but can’t go for 45. Hopefully he’ll get them to vote.

Just the view from my little circle...

My grandpa was a fire chief of a small town for 25 years. And a proud Democrat who spoke of gladly staying with the party through the civil rights movement. He was a friend to everyone. IAFF support would be a big deal to him if he was still with us.

Cousins and uncles of mine have been firefighters and EMTs, as well. Some of them are Trump supporters, sigh.

I expect this will make them remember their Pa's views, and maybe think twice about nodding along with trump's maniacal bullshit.

I'm tracking with other candidates, too, but I really appreciate this endorsement.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
