Sen. Bernie Sanders on Monday will host a livestream on the coronavirus pandemic with Dr. Cornel West, Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.), Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II, and Sonia Shah.
Dr. West is a university professor, social activist and democratic intellectual best known for his research on the intersections of race, gender and class in American society.
Rev. Barber is President of Repairers of the Breach, and National Co-Chair of the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for a Moral Revival.
Shah is a science journalist and author of Pandemic: Tracking Contagions from Cholera to Ebola and Beyond and The Next Great Migration: The Beauty and Terror of Life on the Move, among others. Her writing has appeared in The Nation, the New York Times, Foreign Affairs and elsewhere.
Nathaniel Rateliff will provide music for the stream.
