As long as the Republicans manage to prevent the president from getting things done, they can blame him for it, that's their only motivation. And that speaks to how desperate they are to manufacture anything to block the current administration, no matter the numbers of people who are hurt - or killed. That also shows how low they will sink, they see their "work" as doing anything to help the criminal they support rather than doing the job they were elected to do, pass legislation to benefit their constituents and the American people.
