CNN legal analyst Elie Honig and Former Nixon White House counsel John Dean weigh in on Special counsel Jack Smith and attorneys for former President Donald Trump proposed moving the trial in the classified documents case to July 8th.

1. Not really "pushing back"

Nobody expected the current draft date in May to happen. Too many preliminary issues took longer than anticipated and most assume that holding on to the May date as long as she has was Cannon’s attempt to block the DC case from proceeding (expecting Cannon to then move it again to continue to run interference for Trump on the more dangerous case).

July was really the earliest that the trial was going to take place.

As for replacing Cannon if she doesn’t schedule it quickly? That’s just wishful thinking. I can’t imagine any chance of the 11th circuit removing a judge for “clear error” over a scheduling issue.

What happens if shithole is convicted for hush money crimes? Ya know shithole will appeal and if need be go directly to the 6 RWer 6 justices.

by the State of New York Court of Appeals.

3. Some cog in the Legal system will fail; a Judge or Juror and trump will walk.

The Legal System is too Slow and Convoluted to actually work in this case.
