Makes total sense that this man should be in the Senate.

Ronnie, Arnold and now a dirty old Dodger.

This is what I remember of Garvey. His bizarre personal life...

"Cynthia left Garvey for composer Marvin Hamlisch....

In July 1988, Garvey discovered that Cheryl Moulton was pregnant with his child, Ashleigh Young. Despite this, Garvey proposed to Rebecka Mendenhall in November 1988, telling Mendenhall about Moulton at the time of the proposal. Mendenhall learned that she was pregnant that January. Garvey broke their engagement January 1, 1989, on a phone call. Garvey and Mendenhall had been in a relationship since 1986. Their only child, a son named Slade Mendenhall, was born in October 1989."

I vaguely recognized the name and when I saw the old pix, I seem to remember him from game shows back in the day. But I still have no clue why he's running - and he's bound to lose to Adam Schiff!

Does he have any experience? Three experienced Dem stars were running and I don't think he'd stand a chance against any one of them...

They made their choice to run. They knew they would lose their seat if they lost. Schiff needs to win or we lose 3.

I believe that Schiff will win the Senate seat.

He's proven himself again and again, both as impeachment manager and on the J6 Committee, so we'll be in good hands. And I do believe the reason that he chose to run was that he was removed as Committee Chair by the House Republican majority.

I hope we can take them back, we can't afford to lose more.

This whole thing is exhausting. I don't know how we keep our sanity until Nov.

Back during the 2016 campaign I quit watching the news since I couldn't stand that offensive blowhard who they covered to the exclusion of those I thought of as legitimate candidates. I couldn't wait for the election to be over so we'd never have to see or hear from him again. So how long has it been now? And it just keeps getting worse - he was bad enough in 2016.

And I'm also hoping that we don't lose any seats - we desperately have to regain the majority and send MAGA Mike packing. I don't know about Barbara Lee's seat, but I remember hearing that Katie Porter represents a rare conservative district in California.

I select the news I wish to read here and the net. I am sick of both siderisms! (new word).

The news wants a blood fest and at times, I think they want another trump term.

But I would be much happier if we never had to see or hear him again. No one has ever been so offensive - and here I thought that Bush* was bad.

His propping up Garvey could mean that more Republicans vote in November
That could help Republicans like Young Kim -- she certainly thinks it will help her
She acknowledges Trump is a turnoff, but Garvey running for the senate could get some Republicans not to stay home

Yes, luckily we have great candidates. But they have their own dreams and ambitions.
Unfortunately we lose two good Representatives. Still, I don’t blame them for seeing their chances to fulfill personal dreams.

Best of luck to all of them and our Democracy.

Don’t get mad. Vote!!!!
