I remember being upset when Bush* let the Assault Weapons Ban lapse, yet conditions for reinstating it are impossible now, despite the growing number of mass shootings - including in schools and killing children! I really don't understand it, even Steve Scalise who was critically wounded in that mass shooting at the baseball practice is still pro-gun!

And it's - again - the Republicans. President Clinton called on all the living former presidents to support getting the AWB passed - and that was one Democrat and two Republicans - Carter, Ford - and Reagan!
