Biden announces $8.5 billion federal investment in Intel computer chip plants - CBS News



On Wednesday, President Biden unveiled an $8.5 billion agreement with tech giant Intel in Arizona. The funding is part of the CHIPS Act and will create 30,000 manufacturing and construction jobs. Jared Bernstein, White House economic adviser, joins "America Decides" to discuss.

We should always have been producing these chips....highly automated processes. Cost to move chips to worldwide users, nil. It was always a national security issue to move chip making tech offshore.

Is how after reporting on President Biden’s agreement with Intel and how it will create thousands of jobs they then show polls about how much republicans say they hate the economy. It infuriates me. Maybe people think it sucks because they’re bombarded with negative news stories day in and day out? It's why I no longer watch the news media.
