The former president is standing by his claim that all Jewish Americans who vote for Democrats hate their religion and hate Israel. - Aired on 03/20/2024.

1. Is this supposed to help him get the Jewish vote?

2. Makes no sense to me, but we know how he can't help attacking people

All I can figure is that he knows they're smart enough not to vote for him - except for Jared and Ivanka, that is.

3. I talked to a Jewish family member today.

I won't repeat what he said about Trump attacking Jews.
He hates Trump but has never been this angry before.

4. I sure can't blame them, this indicted criminal is a fan of Hitler, likely the worst mass murderer in world history.

And I certainly wasn't around during WWII, but I grew up just knowing Hitler was the worst evil - and TFG is a lot closer to WWII than I am. But we know that he didn't do well in school, paid smarter guys to take his tests for him.

5. This family member had relatives killed at Auschwitz.

I have seen pictures of them before they were taken away to the camps.

To say Jews hate Israel and what Israel stands for is beyond the pale.

Trump knows exactly what he is saying.
Even with his cognitive slippage he knows what Hitler stands for.

I think Trump is furious about the financial judgements and is lashing out in hate filled and ugly ways.
More so than usual.

6. That is truly horrific, that kind of terrible loss affects someone's entire life.

But we know that TFG has no understanding of anyone or anything beyond himself. And he is so angry that he's being brought to task he's lashing out at anyone he can - with no understanding or expectation of the backlash.

7. Trump thinks of no one but himself.

He is incapable of empathy or concern for others.
He thinks everyone else is a sucker and loser.

My family once went to visit the elderly (Jewish) aunt of my family member.
Her parents were immigrants to this country.

She brought out a scrapbook with her family pictures.

I cannot tell you what it was like to see her point to her European aunts and uncles, cousins
who were taken away to camps by Hitler and never seen again. And talk about them.
It was stunning and horrific.

And then to hear Trump rant and rave about Jews hating Israel.
Blows my mind.
Just when you think he cannot get any worse he always gets worse.

8. I can't even begin to imagine such a devastating loss like this.

It was truly the crime of the 20th century and will continue to affect a family for decades - or longer. But TFG has never suffered a day in his life, he was constantly bailed out by his wealthy father. When his casinos were failing, his father sent his driver to buy $3 million in chips and not only did the casinos fail, but the father was fined because he didn't have a gaming license.

The night his brother died alone at the hospital, TFG went to the movies. And Mary Trump begged her uncles to honor his final wishes and cremate her Dad and spread his ashes in the place he loved to fly. But the resentments of him leaving the family business to do what he loved, become a pilot, persisted and they followed the father's orders and buried him in the family plot.

TFG has never known true suffering and has no empathy or understanding of others. And he certainly can't understand the creation of Israel and what that means.
