Many women took to the streets to protest and even flouted the country’s strict Islamic dress code. The response was so large that the morality police largely pulled back. realize that if there WAS a "free" Palestine from the river to the sea... that the women there would very likely be subjected to similar laws as those in Iran or Saudi Arabia. Never mind what happens to LBGTQ+ people in those countries. Honor killings for falling in love with someone your family disapproves. Beheading for having an affair.
