(43,505 posts)After watching that, I think cannon is even more of a dimwit than I had previously thought. She is making a reputation for herself that is national in scope.
Oh, yeah , someone will inevitably come along to remind me of what I already know about JFL (job for life), but how would you like to try to work when you know your decisions are being laughed at? That you are the subject of late night comedy sketches? That every move you make is now looked at in the light of being out of your element. Unworthy of the job.
She will never live this down, nor should she.
On another topic, I think Lisa Rubin is such a good communicator. Tonight I was focusing on her gestures. So graceful and meaningful to her message. We are lucky to have her. Shes smart, extremely well educated, experienced in the law, and well spokennot to mention hard working.
Contrast her with that clumsy blonde dolt from fox. Cant think of her name.

(258,653 posts)And how often in our lives have either judges or justices become the subjects of national controversy? Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention, but all this seems pretty recent to me.
And I also really like Lisa Rubin, she explains even these complicated legal issues clearly and understandably. And you're right, she's become one of those guests we see so often that you can't help wondering if they have a cot in the back to catch some sleep...

(43,505 posts)And yes, I think of that cot in the back and wonder how these commentators are getting through this intense time in our history. If they mess up on the job, everybody knows. Talk about a pressure cooker.
Andrew Weissman is another clear, knowledgeable communicator. Extremely intelligent and a good listener who is able to stay on top of complexity in the law.

(258,653 posts)He's so smart and explains legal issues so well that he's a long-time favorite of mine - however, I've also wondered when he makes it home - or sleeps. There were times, especially when the trial was going on, it seemed like he was on every single MSNBC show!
