14. Lawrence O'Donnell is great, but he got one thing wrong:

Donald Trump did not "freeze" for 187 minutes on Jan 6.

He was enjoying every second of it on TV, because the violence on his behalf by thousands of his ardent supporters was feeding his ego and his lust for retribution.

We have seen some examples of creative thought from Smelvis.

For example:
The boat that can't float because the battery is too heavy, then Donald is faced with a decision whether to die by electrocution or shark attack.

However, he didn't "think" this all the way through.

If the boat is too heavy to float, how did it get to where the sharks are in the first place?

He just runs his mouth, stream of consciousness to his captive audience, bringing up crazy thoughts about electric boats, sharks and talking about movie character, Hannibal Lecter, as if he knows him - and from the clips we've seen, his deluded audience is confused, too.

And maybe if he saw a real doctor, rather than sycophant Ronny Jackson, there would be a real diagnosis. An attorney on MSNBC said that his lawyers could plead "diminished capacity" for him - where he could end up in a facility other than jail - but he also said they'd never do it.

I hadn't found another news source that has confirmed that many lies. Because most corporate media wanted to declare the liar the winner.

Within 24 hours, all the millions in donations, and LOD's discussion of polling like Morning Consult poll the next day, not to mention Wall St.'s trade numbers, showed that in reality, Biden is not just their man, but The Man.

I just canceled my subscriptions to NYT and The Atlantic for headlines -- EIGHT within 24 hrs of the debate! like these from Atlantic.
Right before I did that, I switched Biden's name in their headlines to trump's name, then told them they've literally failed Americans (and that their founders are roiling in their graves) by not presenting who/what secures or endangers American's freedoms.

MSNBC post debate panel who didn’t throw Biden under the bus. He reminded the others that Trump would soon be sentenced, and the debate would soon fade from the media spotlight.

Thanks for posting this. I’ll bet Lawrence was surprised by all the handwringing by his colleagues.They should be ashamed of themselves for joining in the chorus of doom and gloom. Obviously, it wasn’t Biden at his best, but the focus should have been where it belonged- squarely on Trump’s lunacy and unfitness for office.

I was very discouraged watching the debate, of course, though I didn't even consider giving up on the President. Lawrence O'D is one of my favorites, and i rarely miss a show. He was a calming voice of reason on MSNBC post-debate analysis, as Joy Reid were debating whether President Biden should drop out of the race. Mr. O'Donnell's show as posted here gave me better perspective.

Take a page from Trump and don't bother to defend Biden, attack Trump. Each and every Dem commentator, political figure, supporter when first asked about the debate should have said "What a bunch of lies" regardless of the question asked. Follow that with "I'd like to see the list of those 19 people, I'll bet he couldn't name 19 people who were there." If forced to comment on Biden, it's "He really brought it home that he has plans to address our problems and Trump doesn't". Biden spoke so slowly, "Biden does talk slower than Trump so he couldn't possibly address all of Trump's lies in the time allotted"
Change the conversation. The other side does it well and speaks with a single voice.
