The House of Representatives has voted to expel Rep. George Santos, R-N.Y., from Congress after an Ethics Committee report found that the congressman likely violated federal law.

the GQP are trying to look reasonable and sane going into 2024.

Don't trust them, i.e. look at Texas, they are going into the abyss.
