GOP speaker says he's blurring Jan. 6 tapes so rioters don't get charged - All In - MSNBC

Speaker Mike Johnson says Republicans will be blurring the faces of rioters before releasing the raw footage from Jan. 6 “because we don't want them to be retaliated against and to be charged by the DOJ.” It’s an “open admission in front of cameras said out loud to the nation that House Republicans—the senior House Republican—is actively running cover for criminal insurrectionists,” says Chris Hayes. - Aired on 12/05/2023.

Probably secretly disappointed the 'Revolution' wasn't a success.

Not to worry, the DOJ already has the unedited footage. Hopefully.

Mike 'milksop' Johnson is getting a bit of a reputation there. And not a good one.
Trying to please his GOP buddies while clearly saying what he is.

And we know that Mike Johnson has already "visited" TFG, likely to declare his loyalty to the disgraced criminally indicted former guy - and he's declaring this openly for his benefit.

I hope Jack Smith has the master copies of all this. Surely the J6 committee gave him all their information before the Rs took over the House. He could choose to release an unredacted version of the tapes so people would know if anybody they know is among the criminals.

The Democrats aren't going to do anything with the tapes, the only people you are hiding the tapes from is tRump's supporters. Are you that afraid that his supporters will use those tapes for evil?
