As a Russian opposition activist, he was found guilty of treason for speaking out against Putin’s crackdown on dissidents. And now, in the context of Trump’s government overhaul, U.S. tech companies are “essentially acting as accomplices to dictatorships.” “Those companies that declare their adherence to principles such as the rule of law, respect for human rights, respect for democracy, they have to actually follow these principles, as opposed to helping dictatorships overcome them.”
