Democratic strategist: Racist attacks on Zohran Mamdani obscure the substance of his platform - The Weekend: Primetime
Since Zohran Mamdani's sweeping victory in the New York City Democratic mayoral primary, GOP lawmakers and leaders have unleashed a barrage of Islamophobic attacks and smears. Democratic strategist Waleed Shahid says that the racist comments obscure and distract from Mamdani's platform.
"We are missing an opportunity to engage with the substance of why the plurality of voters chose Zohran Mamdani, which is a conversation about rent, a conversation about groceries, a conversation about public transit in this city," Shahid says. - Aired on 06/28/2025.

In this country?? And we welcomed immigrants, immigrants made America into a country. Is there anyone anywhere in this country who didn't originally come from immigrants who were courageous enough to take a chance on a new country??
