2. It will never fly...

There are over 420 registered political parties in the United States of America, with many different blends of political viewpoints. However, there are only two nationally recognized political parties, the Republicans and Democrats. Most of the other parties fall under those two political parties with variations, or under other ideological umbrellas, like Progressive, Libertarian, Conservative, Socialist, Communist, etc.

3. It won't work because:

You need donors. Musk can't unilaterally finance a new party. With donors, comes votes. No donors, no votes.

Not enough time. 3+ years to establish a new party, replete with candidates for the House and Senate. Not going to happen. Musk is delusional if he believes non-Trump Republicans will flee to his party.

Air time. Even if Musk got his candidates, the corporate media would be fearful of running spots for them. Fearful of Trump.
