'Extremely weak': Former NSC Director on Trump rolling over for Putin in Alaska summit - The Weekend - MSNBC

“In reality, the Russians got exactly what they wanted. Trump completely backpedaled on this and looked extremely weak.” Trump’s summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin this week in Alaska produced no deal to end the war in Ukraine.

Ret. Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, Former National Security Council Director of European Affairs and Senior Advisor to Vote Vets, and Susan Glasser, Staff Writer for The New Yorker join The Weekend to discuss. - Aired on 08/16/2025.

as historic and powerful trump delivered what we all knew he would. What do they expect when a murderous dictator meets a unqualified lying idiot who so badly wants to be Putin he can taste it.

"We are looking at the steps of Air Force One where, several minutes ago, President Trump ascended into the plane after his historic summit blah blah. Blah bla-blah, blah blah bloppity blah. No word yet on when they'll be taking off. It seems they've just decided to sit there a while. Blah bluh-blah, bloppity bloppity blah blah. He showed great strength* through having all those warplanes on the tarmac. That will be the last thing Putin sees as he departs. An image of a strong America.* Yak yak yakkity-yakka-yakka. Sometimes the President might sit on the tarmac for a phone call or something, we really have no idea. It's just speculation at this point. Blah-yakkity yak blah blah. Once again, if you're just tuning in to this fascinating coverage, you're looking at the outside of Air Force One... Oh wait, the vehicles are moving. Yes, the motorcade is departing, so perhaps they're getting ready to leave now! Sometimes the President has another meeting he has to get to.** Blah blah blah yakity-yak! Oh, what a historic day!"

* Obviously, this was a bit of FOX coverage I accidentally caught.

** Probably has a tee time somewhere.
