'A very dangerous theory:' MAGA's mask-off racist vision of America - Velshi - MSNBC

At the National Conservatism Conference, GOP Senator Eric Schmitt of Missouri shared a shockingly white nationalist vision of American identity and history.

Nikole Hannah-Jones, creator of the 1619 Project, tells Ali Velshi that, in contrast to years of racist “dog whistles” from politicians on the right, Schmitt’s openness is almost “refreshing.” His far-right viewpoint, Hannah-Jones says, isn’t “just about who is being allowed to immigrate into our country now, but what is the very essence of who is an American and therefore who should have the protections of the Constitution and full rights as citizens.” - Aired on 09/07/2025.

Decades after the Civil Rights Movement and MLK Jr.'s incredible bravery, it turns out that these bigots learned nothing!

5 years ago they started up this yearly ""Conference"". When you get to my age, all you have to do to figure things out is put two and two together. They had to come up with a story to explain their bigotry and this is it. Wait till it gets out to the greater public.
They think their shit don't stink. Stinks coming out of their mouths, too!

Where did these bigots get their education?! Do we need to start all over again with the marches and calls for integration?? "Eyes on the Prize" needs to be required viewing in schools in areas that these bigots represent. That documentary shocked me even though I grew up in a fairly progressive city and thought I was informed. And I also blame TFG, who we know was cited for refusing to rent to Black families, along with his bigoted father - since his prejudices have given permission to his fellow bigots to freely express their views.
