Kimmel returns, but Trump favor-seeking corporations take viewing choice away from locals - The Briefing w/Jen Psaki MSNBC

The pressure campaign against Disney/ABC appears to have worked, and Jimmy Kimmel is to return to the airwaves, but many Americans won't be able to make the choice to watch him or not on their own because Nexstar and Sinclair, the media conglomerates that own their local ABC station, may have a financial interest in appeasing Donald Trump rather than serving local communities.

FCC Commissioner Anna Gomez, the lone Democratic appointee on the commission, joins Jen Psaki to discuss the dynamics at play. - Aired on 09/23/2025.

I checked midway through the Colbert show and Katu had some Newsmax show talking about Charlie Kirk on.
I will leave KATU deleted from My Roku TV's channel list.
My local CBS station, KOIN, is owned by Nextstar. I keeping an eye on what direction they take as well.

And even though Jimmy Kimmel was in the local listings, after the local news was delayed a half hour for reasons I can't figure out, they showed Jeopardy! I need to check into it since the Albany Sinclair station is the CBS affiliate, not ABC.
