Grijalva to be sworn in after monthlong delay Epstein files vote looms

Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva will be sworn into the U.S. House this week — more than a month after winning her special election in Arizona’s 7th District.

The delay drew scrutiny because Grijalva has said she plans to sign a discharge petition to force a vote to release the so-called Epstein files. House Speaker Mike Johnson has denied that the petition played any role in the timing of her swearing-in.

We break down:
• Why her swearing-in was delayed
• What the discharge petition means
• What to watch in the coming days
