(3,135 posts)... the bloody hell is the Democratic leadership going to address the irrefutable fact that EVERYTHING Trump says and does is in service to Valdimir Putin's psychotic obsession with destroying America from within? Anyone with the IQ of a potted plant knows that he's been in Putin's pocket for decades. Don't bother looking across the aisle for support; Republicans are in on it, and have been from Day One. Let me refer you to Utah Senator Mike Lee's remarks of October 8th, 2020: Democracy isn't the objective; liberty, peace, and prospefity [sic] are. We want the human condition to flourish. Rank democracy can thwart that. Republicans hate the very concept of democracy. Our history is pockmarked with glaring examples of their malice and perfidy.
(Emphasis mine)
PRO TIP TO ALL POLITICIANS: Your reelection concerns do NOT take precedence over the preservation of democracy in America. Get that through your fuckin' heads.

(248,098 posts)When are Americans who continue to vote for Republicans going to wake up and notice that constituents are last on their priority list. And I certainly know, I'm stuck with Stefanik who when she's held a rare telephone "town hall," she blocks those who disagree with her or ask questions she doesn't like. I subscribe to AOC's newsletter instead since she's also New York.
