21-year-old protester says he was blinded in one eye after clash with federal agent - MS NOW Reports
WARNING: DISTURBING FOOTAGE "I was really scared I was going to die.” Kaden Rummler, a 21-year-old college student and U.S. citizen, tells MS NOW he was blinded in one eye after a clash with a federal agent at a Southern California protest. Rummler said he underwent a six-and-a-half-hour surgery for his injuries, which included ocular and skull fractures.
In a statement from DHS to the Los Angeles Times, a spokesperson claims a “mob of 60 rioters threw rocks, bottles and fireworks at law enforcement officers outside of the federal building.” The department also noted: “This is absurd. DHS law enforcement took this rioter to the hospital for a cut and he was released that night. According to the Associated Press, Rummler has been charged with a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. - Aired on 01/19/2026.
