'This isn't how things are supposed to work in America': Courts rebuke ICE's detention policy - Velshi - MS NOW

A review by Politico found that, of 11,600 lawsuits filed against the government by people detained by ICE since July 2025, judges have ruled against the Trump administration in about 10,400 of them.

It illustrates the scale of the Trump administration’s overreach and the frustration that some judges are feeling as they review cases where the government has violated people’s rights. One judge sums it up this way: “This isn’t how things are supposed to work in America.” - Aired on 05/17/2026.
