Trump Hits NATO Allies With Tariffs Over Greenland, GOP Revolts - Decoding The Rhetoric
Donald Trump has escalated his Greenland obsession into outright economic warfare.
On Saturday, Trump announced sweeping tariffs on eight NATO allies — Denmark, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and the Netherlands — explicitly tying the punishment to their refusal to sell Greenland to the United States.
The tariffs begin February 1 and escalate to 25 percent by June.
