The impact of social media on Political Campaigns

The impact of social media on Political Campaigns

CLSB Politics

In this video I look at when and how a campaign should use social media to reach voters. What the cost is, how it is used, when to use it, and what it can’t do. Many campaigns look at social media as catch all part of the campaign. Campaigns are always looking for something, anything to replace field work. The reasons change but what seems to be a constant is the lack of expertise in field development and implementation. Field is hard work, but the rewards are tremendous, social media is only worth doing if the field is the backbone. No easy way to change the world, so might as well get to work.
