I sat down with historian Timothy Snyder, Chair of Modern European History at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto, to discuss the stunning defeat of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán after 16 years in power and what it means for democracy here at home. We talked about the role of protest movements, why everyday organizing matters more than you might think, and the very real lessons Americans can take from Hungary's opposition playbook.
