The first were likely the ancestors of the Melungen people of the southern Appalachians, an interesting mix of North African, Sub Saharan African, MIddle Eastern and Iberian people, the latter refugees from the expulsion of Jews and Muslims first from Spain and then from Portugal.

The main influx of Muslims into the Americas came after 1619 with the importation of enslaved people from Sub Saharan Africa.

I wish this stuff would be taught in schools, that the US is nominally 80% Christian, but that means one person in five is not a Christian. Maybe that would cut down on the number of ignorant bumpkins like these two dead punks.
