My friend had the exact same reaction, and it was from his appearance on Stephen Colbert's show last night Rhiannon12866 Feb 2024 #2

Back to 2015 with Stewart's Hillary bashing. I am done with this fool.

I had good memories of Jon Stewart's "Daily Show" since I was in his studio audience back in 2008 and he not only did a good job, but he remembered that a woman sitting near me had asked about his notes during his discussion with the audience before the show, so after the show he remembered and gave them to her. He was really good back then. *sigh*

And not only did he do a good job, but he was very friendly to the audience, answered questions before the show.

I worked with a woman in 2015 who had been to a Colbert Report show and had a tote bag with a cool silhouette of his head on it. She said she had a great time.

And I was very impressed, though the guest was a disappointment - Dr. Phil. But not only did Dave come out and chat with the audience before the show, he came out afterwards to thank us for coming - even after over 30 years! And the studio was much smaller than it appeared on TV, we could see everything from the 5th row right in front of his desk!

As for Jon Stewart, a woman sitting near me had asked about his notes when he took audience questions before the show. And he remembered and gave his notes to her after the show.

He even bashed Joe's light hearted, tongue-in-cheek TikTok video. Jon didn't get the joke at all. It was just a joke video that incorporated the Dark Brandon meme. WTF, Jon?

It seems like Jon has gone off the deep end into both siderism and is no longer relevant, like Bill Maher.

As I said above, I was in his studio audience back in the day (2008) and he did a good and thoughtful job. Though his guest for that show was Judd Apatow who wasn't exactly political, but since we didn't know beforehand who it would be, I think he stepped in at the last minute since they're friends.
