Is Trump Losing It? - Thom Hartmann

Donald Trump has a lot to say about President Biden’s age for someone who’s been blundering around the country recently. It’s all over the media…Trump slurring his way through speeches that found him mixing up Biden and Barack Obama, Hungary and Turkey, and apparently Hamas with…wait for it… “hummus?!” Is he just hungry? Or is there something more going on? If he wants to discuss senility in Presidential candidates, by all means, let’s…! - Aired on 11/01/2023.

1. That is the most lucid I have seenTrump in years,

certainly more fluent and coherent than his set pieces in 2020. Interesting. The commentary on MSNBC is suggesting that he believes he is going to win in 2024.

3. Of course he believes he's going to win, he surrounds himself with "supporters"

And he's already planning on doing what he failed to do on January 6th, overturn democracy and establish an autocracy - with him calling all the shots, like those he most admires, Putin and Kim Jong-Un.

is that he believes he can't lose. Winning fair and square has no meaning for a monster like TFG.

7. You're right, he's led a charmed life, so far. And he really believes he's "above the law" so he can't lose

And, from what we've seen, he's gotten away with criminal acts his whole life that no one else possibly could. I sure hope he's in for a rude awakening.

like John Gotti, the Dapper Don, and Al Capone, infamous high flyers who ended up as jailbirds.

9. Good comparison, and his father is no longer there to rescue him

As he attempted to do by sending his driver to one of TFG's failing casinos to purchase $3 million in chips - though not only didn't that help, but his father was fined for not having a gaming license. And then there was the doctor who diagnosed him with "bone spurs" to help him evade the draft. Not only has no one in that family ever served in the military, when Junior said he was thinking about it, his parents threatened to disown him. I read about these events in Mary Trump's book.

The Home for the Terminally Confused has renovated some quarters to look like parts of the White House and you are now free to move in.
Specially selected nurses have been groomed to act and look like Ivanka and Melania, but their training involved avoidance of any 'grab them by the pussy' moves on your part, so don't bother.

Seriously though . . . I saw the title and thought . . . he lost 'it' long ago.
In short, he never was the sharpest chisel in the toolshed.

Yes! Whenever I read 'unhinged', I think he was never hinged in the first place.

6. There was an attorney on MSNBC who said that TFG's lawyers could easily plead "diminished capacity"

Which would result in him being held in an institution other than prison. But the attorney also said his lawyers would never consider it. Despite the overwhelming number of indictments and criminal charges in four jurisdictions, he still believes he's going to "win."
