Are The Rich Getting Second Passports Because Of Rising Fascism? - Thom Hartmann

Why is a second or third passport the trendy must-have item of the super-rich? Could it be the rise of fascism? Thom Hartmann speculates on the escape plans of the uber wealthy as the Republican party threatens to burn down democracy in our country. - Aired on 04/12/2024.

I wouldn’t mind seeing the morbidly rich take flight for parts unknown.

They are responsible for most of this mess and they should be held accountable for it. Or, is all that talk about equality a lie? (Rhetorical question... as well as sarcastic.) If they try to run, revoke their status as citizens. (They can appeal, but the headache might make enough of them just decide to stay away. Then, all we have to do is pass a law that companies that claim to be American must be led by a resident American.)

They will never be held responsible, of course, and will collude with fascists if such a terrible time comes to pass.

And me? I’ll spend ever possible second a man past 3/4 of a century in age can to fuck with all they try to do.

Not for tax reasons or for financial security.

They saw the writing on the wall in the U.S. They saw sufficient amount of persecution of LGBTQ and decided to escape. While I miss them, I can't criticize as I agree with them.
