Related: About this forumHaving NO valid defense, Trump turns NY fraud trial into a circus w/combative, unhinged testimony - Glenn Kirschner
Donald Trump testified in his New York fraud trial and attempted to turn the proceedings into a circus with combative, non-responsive, insulting and absurd testimony.
This is precisely what defendants do when they know they cannot win on the facts: they attack the prosecutors, the judge and the process that is attempting to hold them accountable for their wrong-doing. Testimony like Trump gave is not a sign of strength, it's a sign of weakness. It's not a sign of confidence, it's a sign of fear.
This video reviews some of Trump's desperate, unpersuasive and often unhinged testimony before Judge Arthur Engoron. - Glenn Kirschner - 11/06/2023.

When Eliot Ness got his man Al Capone at trial. Capone huffing and puffing and threatening. On his way to jail.
Trump has no jury to play to, but fool is good at acting the fool. And the fools who support him dont care.

And TFG is cornered now, just like Al Capone. Plus, you're right, he thinks he's at a rally, keeps playing to that "audience" that isn't there. That's all he knows how to do. Even when he was in office, he farmed out duties and kept up his rallies the whole time. He's addicted to getting approval from the deluded no matter what insane things he says or does. Al Capone, as crime boss, exhibited the same behavior.
