4. Yup. In Spain there are several dialects of Spanish.

Three of them are recognized as official languages of Spain: Catalan (mostly in the east), Galician (mostly in the west and related to Portuguese), and Castilian (the one that most Americans know as Spanish).

A fourth official language of Spain that is not Latin based is Basque (Euskera).

6. Spanish major here. The first three that I mentioned are

Latin based and closely related to each other. Castilian Spanish used to be THE official language, but the others were recognized later.

Another Spanish dialect in southern Spain is Andalusian, but as far as I know, is not considered a distinct official language in Spain. The Andalusian dialect has carried over to Latin America and has influenced the languages of Latin American countries.
