1. Billionaires are not afraid of communism.

That's just the excuse that they give for their power grab. They are motivated by power. And by social stupidity.

They, or an ancestor, made tons of money (or inherited it) and feel superior to others. They want the power to run things their way.

But being good at making money does not mean that you know how a society should function. The kinds of absolute control that they would impose in "governing" a nation would stifle the education, creativity, and free exchange of ideas that leads to economic growth, technological invention, and cultural achievements in the arts. They'd be shooting themselves in the foot.

They would impose the same authoritarian suppression of the human spirit that Soviet style communism did.

2. They're not necessarily good at making money

When you're very rich, the money increases automatically, kind of like Gravy Train -- makes its own gravy.

Then they pat themselves on the back for it.
