The Stonewall Inn is a significant historical place in American history. On any given day, on Christopher Street you will see tourists and activists stopping by the place. It's not the only place in NYC where a subway station is named for a significant landmark in the area.
For example: E 161st Street-Yankee Stadium; Willets Point-Mets; Woodlawn (cemetery) Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall; 137th Street-City College; 242nd Street-Van Courtlandt Park; 14th Street-Union Square.
So this isn't anything new. Christopher Street will still be Christopher Street.

Fox News, reinforced by his buddies at the corner bar, all of them drinking their hopelessness away since their good union jobs were sent offshore in the 90s and 00s and haven't come back. Beer, bluster and bullying are all they have left.

They can't hate the corporations that did that to them, corporations don't have a face to punch and the majority stockholder whose name was on the label is behind layer of electronic, ex military rent-a-cop, and guard dog security, jetting all over the world so they never know where he is. Some talelened entertainer who dresses up like Glenda, the good witch of the north, and reads "The Wizard of Oz" to kids has a face to punch and no security, if they ever catch sight of him in or out of drag.

The problem in this country isn't that these guys are angry and too ignorant to know where to put that anger and what to do with it and are so easily disinformed, it's that rich men never, ever have enough.

We manage to control those black holes, guys like Mr Gary will no longer care about NYC subway stations.
