2. Republicans make me so nostalgic

(and I often repeat myself as I have said this before). Is that redundant?

Lots of clips of weaponization and coverup as the grand old ones pontificate about the evils of Joe Biden, and share with us what they BELIEVE is going on.

I find myself back in 1970, High School Debate Class, my sophomore year. The topic, Assertion. The teacher, a five foot loud weapon of truth. IF YOU ASSERT YOU MUST PROVE.

I wonder why so many republicans who seek out microphones never took that course. Could it be they know their audience? Seems to me a pretty sad way to exist. But as Pope Francis would say, Who am Into judge?

3. I'm currently listening to Liz Cheney's book in my car (for the second time)

And I'm continually shocked at those Republicans in Congress who were blatantly hypocritical (Kevin McCarthy, Mike Johnson) regarding the blatant 2020 election lies, and those who claimed to be TFG's lawyers who should have known the "rule of law" but just made things up - and people believed them (and still do, despite them facing charges for their lies).

4. A non stop bombardment of lies

Without a care of right and wrong.

I like Mark Twains advice. Always tell the truth and you’ll never have to remember anything.

Republican elected officials and right wingers with access to a microphone have no use for Mark Twain.

I have some old Car Talk CDs I listen to in my truck. Somewhat dangerous cause those guys can make me laugh to distraction.

5. I've learned more details from her book, and so much of it is even more shocking than I knew before

And, of course, the most sickening part is that he knew he lost - from investigations he commissioned, the court cases he lost (60 out of 61) and his closest advisors repeatedly telling him! But he persisted in publicly broadcasting what he knew to be lies which not only resulted in January 6th, but he is still repeating them to incite his deluded "supporters."

6. And now he knows

That if he’s on an electric boat he should jump towards the sharks. It’s an unprecedented action. No one ever thought to do that before.

7. Just one more example of how blatantly unqualified he is and always has been

What does he know of government service or the limits of the Constitution? Has he ever read it? It's a complicated document, but it spells out the rules for a democratic republic. Yet he doesn't care, treats it like he did his family business, what he says goes - and that includes attempting to overthrow the government if he doesn't get his way...
