Perhaps they might have explained that the guys in the car rtepeatedly broke the law in the city and they wanted to make sure the guys in the car didn't do it again. The old guy was belligerent, but he'd earned the right, as anyone who knows what a shitshow Vietnam was will agree. A little reassurance from the cops that they'd talk to the guys in the car and then leave would have gone a long way, even with a belligerent old guy who just wanted them GONE.The cops also could have waited at the curb until the two salesmen/scammers left. IOW, there was no justification for this behavior. S

Cops need to stop barking orders, They're not in the military and we are not insurgents.

Training needs to be updated, Nixon's doctrines all have to be thrown out. Shit like this should never happen.
